Greeting Martin at the open house.

Bonjour! 🙂

Well, all the fun of the temple open house has come to an end. It is kind of sad, but I am super excited to get back into the normal missionary routine. I miss waking up at 6:30 instead of 6:00 a.m., getting home on time and having time for studies, and teaching our investigators.  I feel so blessed to have worked at the temple the last two weeks. There are experiences that I will never forget and I will forever cherish. It has been such a blessing for us here. To see the changes in some of our investigators and less actives and to see people from all over Canada who came to enter The Lord’s house and feel His spirit has been so heartwarming. There were lots of positive experiences with non-members coming and enjoying it and wanting to learn more. It was also so fun to see all the missionary work the members did. So many members brought non-member family members and friends. I loved reading the comment cards at the end of the day in the tent and to see over and over again people talking about the peace they felt in the temple. The joy they felt as they learned how families can be together forever was inspiring.

It has been really weird not being able to devote our time to teaching our investigators. We were super happy that Ugo, Youcef, Jean and another investigator, Victor, were able to come to the temple open house. It made-up for having no lessons. Youcef and Ugo really enjoyed their experiences in the temple. It was so amazing to see their vision change and to be able to explain to them that baptism is the gate and the temple is our goal as we enter the temple, make sacred promises, and to be sealed to our families for eternity. The only investigator we were able to teach twice this last week was Ugo. He is progressing so well!! He is beginning to change and to have that desire to be baptized. He didn’t make it to church this last week so his baptism will be pushed back until December. Since the temple dedication is this week, none of our investigators can come :/  Although, I am super excited for the temple dedication and I can’t wait to see who comes to dedicate the temple. We had such a good lesson with Ugo last Saturday night. We talked about the word of wisdom and keeping the commandments. We really saw his desire to be better and to keep the commandments of God. I love seeing the changes take place in our investigators. It is so exciting and brings so much joy as we see them little by little become more and more converted unto The Lord.

We also had a super amazing Sunday, yesterday. It was our branch conference.  We had an amazing branch council with the stake presidency. The spirit was so strong in that meeting as we talked about the importance of missionary work, the role as leaders in the church, and being guided by the spirit as we come together as members and missionaries in The Lord’s work. Also, sacrament meeting was so amazing and full of the spirit. We have a really great stake presidency here in the Montreal Stake. I really look up to the stake president. He does a lot to help the missionaries here.

Well, I hope you all have a great week! I love you all!  I love this work. I love the joy that comes from missionary work. Keep looking for ways to share and spread the gospel with everyone. The Lord sees all our efforts and rejoices with every tiny success! He loves us and guides this work. As we put our trust in Him, show Him our willingness and obedience, we will see miracles.

Beaucoup d’amour!
